The unit standards in bold have also been revised.

InfraTrain New Zealand has rolled over the unit standards listed above which were registered in February 1998.

The reason for the rollover is that the unit standards have not been used sufficiently to warrant a review at this stage.

The review of these unit standards is planned to take place during 2007.

Date new versions published                                                 July 2005

New comments by date                                                            December 2006

Expiry date of new versions of the unit standards           December 2007

Reason for the rollover and revision

The rollover and revision of the above unit standards was prompted from the restructuring of the National Diploma in Civil Engineering [Ref: 0881] qualification.  All accredited providers were consulted regarding this revision and asked to provide feedback on any changes that were required.  Due to the low usage of these standards, the feedback mainly concerned the need to update the legislation.

Main changes resulting from the revision

·        References to legislation, standards, and special note references were updated.

·        Definition of company requirements was updated and used consistently.

·        Minor editorial amendments were made.

·        Titles of 11384 and 11407 amended to reflect the context in which the skills and knowledge were to be applied.
