Revision of Administration of Revenue Law qualification
National Certificate in Administration of Revenue Law (Introduction) (Level 4) [Ref: 0950]
The Public Sector Training Organisation has revised the qualification listed above that was registered in April 2002.
The review of this qualification is planned to take place in December 2007
Reason for the revision
At the time this qualification was registered Accounting – Middle Level unit standards were inadvertently left out of the qualification. This revision was to include those unit standards in the qualification.
The qualification has also been updated to reflect the reviews of the Public Sector Core Skills, Public Sector Introductory Core Skills, and Adult Education and Training unit standards.
Main changes resulting from the revision
Ten unit standards from the Accounting – Middle Level domain, have been added to Elective 3 of the qualification. There is no change to the qualification structure or credit value.
Changes to content
· Accounting – Middle Level unit standards 11609, 11610, 11611, 11614, 11618, 11619, 11620, 11621, 11622, and 11623 have been added to Elective 3.
· Unit standards 7116, 14938, 14939, 14940, 14941, and 14944 are expiring and have been removed from Electives 2 and 3. Replacement unit standards 20469, 19897, 19898, and 19899 have been added.
· The lapsed Public Sector Introductory Core Skills domain has been removed from Elective 2 and replaced by unit standards 14949, 17213, 19895, 19896, 19900, 19901, 19903, 19904, 19906, and 19907 from the Public Sector Core Skills domain, and unit standard 14950 from the Public Sector Māori domain.
· Unit standards 128 and 129 have been removed from Elective 3 as they are expiring and will not be replaced.
Transition
People currently enrolled in programmes leading to the award of version 1 of this qualification may either complete that version, or transfer to version 2. The last date for completing the qualification requirements of version 1 is December 2007.
This qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards.
