The Funeral Service Training Trust of New Zealand has revised the unit standards listed above, which were registered in September 2002.

Reason for the revision

 

Changes to Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan 0221 meant a change was required to special notes in the unit standards listed above.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

The previous special note in each unit standard has been removed and replaced with:

 

‘Providers of the National Certificate in Embalming [Ref: 0289] must ensure that they incorporate a final practical examination, conducted by national examiners approved by the Funeral Service Training Trust of New Zealand, into their assessment schedule’.

 

For unit standards 8357-8360 an additional special note has been included regarding off-site practical assessments.
