Rollover and Revision of Core Generic unit standards

NZQA National Qualifications Services has decided that the unit standards listed above, which were registered in March 1998, should have their period of registration extended and content updated.  Unit standards in bold have been revised.

 

A full and strategic review of all unit standards in the Subfield Core Generic is planned to take place before 2008.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The reason for the rollover and revision is to maintain the currency of the unit standards until they have been reviewed.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

·        Adjustments to reflect current publications and organisations

·        Adjustments to ensure references are correctly cited

·        Removal of references to Race Relations Conciliator in unit standard 542

·        Addition of 'and' in performance criterion 1.5 range for unit standard 12354 to clarify intended meaning

·        Deletion of a special note in unit standards 12358 and 12359 referring to an outdated publication.
