Reason for the revision
Land Transport New Zealand has revised the criteria for the duration of assessment, requiring a minimum of 40 minutes driving time over a distance of between 20 and 40 kilometres in order to accommodate all the different assessment tasks and the range of roads. This provides assessors with greater flexibility to design the route, while minimising the costs of assessment.
Main changes resulting from the revision
· a change to the Special notes detailing the minimum distance to be travelled for assessment to incorporate a balance of time and distance requirements;
· references to the Land Transport Safety Authority have been updated to Land Transport New Zealand in accordance with the new organisation.
