Summary of review and consultation process
The Hairdressing Qualifications Advisory Committee, after full consultation with stakeholders in 2002, decided on changes to the above unit standard. This consultation was as part of a review of other Hairdressing unit standards, which were subsequently registered in January 2003. However the above unit standard was omitted in error late in the review process, and has now being registered to correct this omission.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Special notes have been changed, including alignment with the style of other Hairdressing unit standards.
· Elements 2 and 3 have been combined to reflect the requirement for client care to include visits for chemical and non-chemical service.
