The New Zealand Road Transport and Logistics Industry Training Organisation has revised the unit standard listed above, which was registered in October 2004.
The review of this unit standard is planned to take place during 2006.
Date new versions published May 2005
Expiry date of new versions of the unit standards December 2006 (no change)
Reason for the revision
The revision was initiated following moderation of assessment against this unit standard, when it was decided that the requirements of the standard involved dangerous movements which incurred unnecessary risk-taking. The requirement to undertake a U-turn on a roadway in a 70-100 km/h zone is not only dangerous but it is inconsistent with the title of the standard Execute low speed manoeuvres in a light motor vehicle.
Main changes resulting from the revision
The following changes were made:
· The range statement in performance criterion 1.1 has been deleted.
· The requirement to drive along the road in performance criterion 2.1 has been removed.
· The Traffic Regulations 1976 have been replaced by the Land Transport (Road User) Rule 2004.
· The reference to the Land Transport Safety Authority has been changed to Land Transport New Zealand.
