The Printing & Allied Industries Training Council (PAITC) has completed the review of the unit standards listed above that were registered in November 2000.

Summary of review and consultation process
The review of these unit standards was undertaken as part of a full review of the PAITC graphic communication training programmes. The review group included representatives from companies undertaking training, as well as representatives from PAITC and accredited providers.
Generally, the unit standards were found to be relevant and appropriate to industry needs, apart from some alterations that were required to bring them into line with changes in technology.
Main changes resulting from the review
· The level of unit standards 17921 and 17925 changed
· The credits of unit standards 17925 and 17926 decreased
· Changes were made to the special notes in all unit standards
· Changes were made to elements and performance criteria in all unit standards
· Titles were changed for unit standards 17921, 17922, and 17924.
Any candidate entering training from 1 January 2006 will undertake version 2.

AMAP 0005 has been updated to reflect the changes made to the title, level, or credit value of key unit standards 18924, 17925, and 17926.
