The Seafood Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

Seafood ITO registered assessors and industry raised issues that led to the unit standards being reviewed.  The re-drafted unit standards were presented to the relevant industry sector for consultation and the final versions were endorsed.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·        Elements 4 and 5 of each of the unit standards have been updated for clarification and consistency of assessment.  Element 4 to focus on factors impacting growth and element 5 to focus on abnormal features and/or behaviours rather than actual diseases.

·        Other minor changes have been made to the special notes, elements, and performance criteria to reflect changes in industry practices and legislation.
