Summary of review and consultation process
These unit standards were reviewed following industry feedback that they needed updating to meet current industry requirements. Industry feedback also indicated that the current levels did not accurately reflect the skill level involved in producing high-end leather garments. Industry stakeholders, including employers and training providers, were consulted between March and July 2006.
Main changes resulting from the review
These unit standards were updated to reflect current industry terminology and practices. The level and credits of some unit standards were also increased.
· Unit standards 2618, 2623 and 2624 have increased from Level 2 to Level 3
· The credit value of unit standards 2619-2621 and 2623 increased from 3 to 4 credits.
