The New Zealand Industry Training Organisation has revised the unit standards listed above, which were registered in July 1999 and August 2002. The unit standard in bold has also been rolled over to maintain its currency until it is reviewed.
The review of these unit standards is planned to take place during 2007.

Reason for the revision
These unit standards have been revised as a result of feedback from both assessors and moderators on their fitness for purpose and learning times. The changes reflect this evaluation process and also reflect the need to develop a new unit standard that supports the changing work roles of operations staff in the dairy industry and the need for improved technical knowledge to allow staff to progress to higher qualifications.
Main changes resulting from the revision
· The title and entry information for unit standard 760 have changed.
· The credit total for unit standard 760 has decreased from 10 to 8.
· Two of the elements of unit standard 760 have been deleted and a new element has been written.
· One new unit standard has been developed.
· Editorial and formatting changes have been made to the special notes in all of the unit standards.
