Revision of Agriculture qualifications

 

National Certificate in Agriculture (Level 2) [Ref: 0984]

 

The Agriculture Industry Training Organisation has revised the qualification listed above.

 

Date new versions published                        July 2006

 

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2007.

 

Reason for the revision

 

Feedback from the Agriculture Teachers Association and other stakeholders indicated that this qualification would have greater relevance for high school students if credit for agriculture related achievement standards was included.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

Elective 2 has been expanded to include credit for agriculture related achievement standards from the Agricultural and Horticultural Science domain.

·        Elective 2 has been expanded to include credit for agriculture related achievement standards from the Agricultural and Horticultural Science domain.  Achievement standards 90154-90160, 90450-90455, and 90649-90653 have been added.
