Revision and rollover of Reading unit standards 1272 and 2990

The NZQA National Qualifications Services (NQS) has revised the unit standards listed above, which were registered in March 1998, and has extended their period of registration.

Reason for the revision

 

The unit standards were revised to reflect the amended accreditation requirements of the revised Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (Ref: 0023), and to make minor editorial changes to the special notes.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

The accreditation option for these unit standards now reads:  Evaluation of documentation by NZQA.  The requirement for industry involvement in this evaluation has been removed at level 3.

 

The reason for the rollover is to maintain the currency of the unit standards until they have been reviewed.  The review of the lower-level Communication Skills unit standards is planned to begin in 2007.
