Summary of review and consultation process
In preparation for review of the National Certificate in Electricity Supply (Thermal Plant Operator) (Level 4) with strands in Thermal Operations, Combined Cycle Operations, and Co-generation Operations [Ref: 0894], the above unit standards were reviewed and several new unit standards were developed.
The review commenced in July 2005 and was under the direction of the Thermal Industry Steering Group established by ESITO.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Reference to ‘enterprise requirements’ throughout the unit standards has been changed to ‘industry requirements’.
· Special notes referring to ‘industry requirements’ and compliance documentation have been updated.
· Minor style updates have been carried out.
· Five new unit standards have been registered and are listed in the table at the end of this report.
