InfraTrain New Zealand has revised the unit standard listed above, which was registered in September 2005.
Date new versions published June 2006
Planned review date September 2009
Reason for the revision
During the development of the proposed National Certificate in Roadmarking (Operator) with strands in A-Type Applicator and B-Type Applicator with optional strands in Materials Loading, Raised Pavement Markers, Piloting on Level 1 Roads, Piloting on Level 2 and 3 Roads, Temporary Traffic Management on Level 2 and 3 Roads, and Preformed Thermoplastics, it was decided to revise the entry requirements for this unit standard.
The prerequisites were creating barriers for people not working on Level 2 and 3 roads who were therefore unable to meet the requirements of Unit 20879, Operate as a Site Traffic Management Supervisor – Non Practising (STMS-NP) for Level 2 and 3 roads, and Unit 20880, Operate as a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS) for Level 2 and 3 roads.
The prerequisite Unit 5627, Operate as a Traffic Controller (TC) for low volume and Level 1 roads, remains.
Main changes resulting from the revision
