Revision of Glass and Glazing qualification
National Certificate in Glass Processing with an optional strand in Extended Glass Processing Skills [Ref: 1103]
The Joinery Industry Training Organisation has revised the qualification listed above that was registered in July 2004.
Date new version published March 2006
The review of this qualification is planned to take place in 2010
Reason for the revision
The revision has been carried out because one standard was omitted from the qualification when it was registered.
Changes to structure and content
· Standard 20511 has been added to the compulsory section.
· Credit value has been increased from 99 to 102.
Transition
People currently enrolled in programmes leading to award of version 1 of the qualification will be transferred to version 2 as soon as possible. Version 1 will not be recognised by NZQA and industry because standard 20511 was omitted from the qualification. No candidate may be awarded version 1. Version 1 of the qualification has therefore been withdrawn.
It is not intended that anyone be disadvantaged by this review, and the above arrangements have been designed for a smooth transition. However, anyone who feels they have been disadvantaged may appeal to the Joinery Industry Training Organisation. Any enquiries should be directed to:
