AMAP for PSTO [Ref: 0121] version 3
The Public Sector Training Organisation has revised the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP) above.
Date new version published May 2006
The next AMAP review is planned to take place during 2011.
Reason for the revision
Unit standards have been registered in four new Incursion Response domains in the Biosecurity subfield. Incursion response is a high risk area and requires more detailed specifications than other Public Sector domains covered by this AMAP. The AMAP was reviewed in February 2006 and this revision relates to specific requirements for the Incursion Response domains.
Compliance with new requirements
Accreditation requirements will apply with effect from May 2006.
Moderation system requirements will apply with effect from May 2006.
Accredited organisations will be audited for compliance with AMAP requirements from May 2006 onwards.
Main changes resulting from the revision
Version 4 has replaced version 3.
ACCREDITATION INFORMATION (AI)
Standard Setting Body involvement in accreditation process
· For the Incursion Response domains in the Biosecurity subfield, the visit by NZQA and industry is at Level 3 and above.
Industry or sector-specific requirements for accreditation
· Criterion 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7 now contain specific requirements for the Incursion Response domains in the Biosecurity subfield. This area is recognised as a high risk and specialist area and the amendments reflect this.
MODERATION INFORMATION (MI)
Moderation System
· An approval process for all simulations and/or exercises developed by accredited organisations for use in assessment against unit standards in the Incursion Response domains has been included.
· A centralised assessment model, supported by PSTO and Biosecurity New Zealand, has been included but is not compulsory.
