The National Qualifications Services of NZQA has revised and rolled over the unit standard listed above, which was registered in February 1997.

 

The review of this unit standard is planned to take place during 2009.

Reason for the revision

 

This unit standard had an anticipated review date of December 2005.  Review of the unit standards in Christian Studies has been delayed pending takeover of the unit standards by another standard setting body.  In the meantime, the National Qualifications Services of NZQA has undertaken to revise the unit standard to make it consistent in requirements for assessment in element 1.  There was an inconsistency in the requirements for the number of elements of each belief in the range statements of performance criterion (pc) 1.1 (two elements of each Christian belief) and pc 1.2 (two biblical references for each of three elements of each belief).

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

The range statement for pc 1.1 now reads: 'at least two elements of each Christian belief'.

 

The range statement for pc 1.2 now reads: 'two biblical references for each of the two elements of each belief'.
