The NZ Motor Industry Training Organisation (MITO) has reviewed the unit standards listed above, which were registered in February 1999, March 1999, January 2001, and September 2002.
Date new versions published May 2006
Planned review date December 2011
Summary of review and consultation process
These unit standards have been reviewed and, as a result, all except unit standard 945 have been replaced. An advisory group, which comprised representatives from both the motor and the automotive re-glazing industries, was set up to develop the replacement unit standards.
Main changes resulting from the review
The extent and nature of changes made include:
· Standards 880, 2629, 5469, 10713, and 19632 have been replaced by new standards to separate theory-based and practical outcomes, and/or where major changes to the intent of the standard have occurred. The replacement standard for unit standard 10713 is in a different domain to unit standard 10713.
· The title of unit standard 945 has been changed and the credits have been increased from four to eight because of an additional element and changes to performance criteria.
Unit standards categorised as category C expire at the end of December 2009.
