Revision of Mountain Craftunit standards 14219 and 16633

The Sport Fitness and Recreation Industry Training Organisation has revised the unit standards listed above, which were registered in August and November 1999.

 

The review of these unit standards is planned to take place during 2008.

Reason for the revision

 

An error has been noticed in special notes, and an inconsistency between a special note and the range statement of one of the performance criteria.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

·        Special Note 1 in each of the above unit standards was incorrect - the first part of special Note 1 in unit standard 14219 belonged in unit standard 16633, and the first part of special Note 1 in unit standard 16633 belonged in unit standard 14219.  These have now been corrected.

·        The range of performance criterion 2.2 of unit standard 16633 has been amended to align with special note one covering terrain used for assessment. The change was made from 'half-body height sections up to 50 degrees' to 'body height sections up to 45 degrees'.

·        The opportunity was also taken to update the titles of prerequisite unit standards and the moderation option; and correct minor typographical errors.
