Date new versions published                        May 2006

Planned review date                        December 2011

Summary of review and consultation process

The review was carried out because unit standards were due to expire, and changes were required to unit standards to reflect changes in industry practices.

Industry meetings were convened with representatives from the seed dressing industry training advisors, moderators, and training providers to determine new, and verify existing industry requirements.  Unit standards were checked during this process to determine whether they reflected industry requirements, and changes were made as required.

Draft unit standards were sent out for wider consultation and feedback was incorporated.

Main changes resulting from the review

·        Special notes on all unit standards have been updated.

·        Evidence requirements in range statements have been clarified.

·        Terminology has been updated to reflect current industry practices.

·        Element 2 of 15601 has been split into two elements.

·        Element 4 from 15605 has been merged with element 2 of 15603.

·        Two new elements for data entry and management, and calculations have been added to 15606.
