Summary of review and consultation process
The review was undertaken in response to the changed legislative requirements resulting from the introduction of the Employment Relations Act in 2000. Both the New Zealand Council of Trade Unions and Business New Zealand contributed to the development of the draft reviewed unit standard; consultation was undertaken within appropriate networks of both organisations and of NZQA; and both organisations endorse the reviewed unit standard.
Main changes resulting from the review
As a result of the review:
· the existing elements 1 and 2 have been amended with significant changes to the supporting performance criteria
· a new element 3 has been added
· credit value has increased to 2
· extensive changes to the special notes to reflect changed legislative requirements
· updated moderation option.
Unit standard categorised as category C expires at the end of December 2007.
