The Ministry of Education and the Secondary Education Group Assessment business unit of NZQA have completed a review of the achievement standards listed above that were registered in November 2003.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

This review was part of the planned cycle of review for achievement standards and was informed by feedback from secondary schools, advisers, moderators and examiners.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

AS90116, Latin 1.3

Inconsistent references to passage and passages have been changed throughout the achievement standard to 'passage(s)' for consistency and clarity.  This clarification has led to minor changes in the title, purpose statement, achievement criteria and explanatory notes.

 

AS90262, Latin 2.4

'Two' has been deleted from the Achievement with Excellence criteria, to be consistent with the wording of the other two criteria.  Explanatory note 3 has been clarified to show that any two authors studied may be used to provide evidence.
