Summary of review and consultation process

The review of these five unit standards in the Cargo Operations domain was undertaken as part of the planned review cycle.

The consultation process commenced with the identification and selection of an Industry Advisory Group (IAG), comprising technical representatives from within the stevedoring and ports sector, and a range of assessors and training providers.

IAG members reviewed the processes, procedures and trends likely to impact on performance criteria.  Consideration was also given to ease of assessment against each unit standard, as well as the future industry requirements for these unit standards.  Feedback was incorporated, and all IAG members endorsed final drafts of the unit standards.
