The NZ
Extractive Industries Training Organisation has revised the above qualification
that was registered in October 2007 following a review.

The next qualification review is planned to
take place during 2013.
Reason for the
revision
A compulsory standard was inadvertently omitted from version 4 of the qualification.
Main changes resulting from the
revision
Standard 10992 was
reinstated in the compulsory section of the qualification.

Transition
Version 4 has been withdrawn and will not be awarded. Any person working towards version 4 of this qualification must transfer to version 5. People currently working towards version 2 or 3 may either complete the requirements for that version or transfer existing credits to version 5.
This
qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification,
people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the
requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table
below.
