The
Aviation, Tourism and Travel Training Organisation (ATTTO) has revised the
qualification listed above.

December 2007
The next qualification review is planned to
take place during 2008.
Reason for the
revision
The
revision was conducted to ensure that the qualification remains
achievable.
Unit
standard 61 is not suitable for people in pre-employment training programmes and
must be assessed in the workplace using real clients. The National Certificate in Tourism
Conventions and Incentives [Ref: 0723] is intended as a pre-employment
qualification. Unit standard 61
therefore has been removed and unit standard 11831, which is deemed more
appropriate, has been added in its place.
Unit standard 18229 has expired, and unit standard 20489 has been added as a substitute.
Main changes resulting from the
revision
·
Unit
standards 61 and 18229 have been removed, and unit standards 11831 and 20489
have been added as substitutes.

The qualification has decreased in level from 4 to
3, and in credits from 45 to 44 as a result of these
substitutions.
Transition
People currently working towards version 2 of this qualification may either complete the requirements of that version or transfer their results to this version of the qualification. The last date for assessments to take place for version 2 is 31 December 2008.
This
qualification contains standards that replace earlier standards. For the purposes of this qualification,
people who have gained credit for the expiring standards are exempt from the
requirement to gain credit for the replacement standards - see table
below.
