InfraTrain New Zealand has revised the unit standards listed above.

Reason for the revision

 

It was found that the title for unit standard 15942 contained a misleading technical inaccuracy that had been overlooked during the recent unit standard review.  It was decided to amend the term 'pre-formed long-life thermoplastics' to 'pre-formed thermoplastic' throughout the standard and its title for clarity.

 

Unit standards 18051 and 18054 were discovered to have prerequisites that were considered to be unnecessary, and likely to create barriers to achievement.  It was decided to revise the entry requirements for these standards.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

·      Standard 15942: All references to 'pre-formed long-life thermoplastics' amended to 'pre-formed thermoplastic'.

·      Standard 18051: Prerequisite standards 5629 and 6454 removed from entry information.

·      Standard 18054: Prerequisite standard 3271 removed from entry information.
