Revision of New Zealand Industry Training Organisation (NZITO) AMAP
The NZITO has revised the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP) above.
Date new version published January 2006
The next AMAP review is planned to take place during 2010.
Reason for the revision
The AMAP has been revised to reflect the current moderation system, to ensure consistency with other NZITO AMAPs, and to align with the template for AMAPs.
Compliance with new requirements
Moderation system requirements will apply with effect from May 2007.
Accredited organisations will be audited for compliance with AMAP requirements from July 2007 onwards.
Main changes resulting from the revision
ACCREDITATION INFORMATION (AI)
Standard Setting Body involvement in accreditation process
· Involvement in the accreditation process for Level 1 has been removed as there are no standards at this level covered by the AMAP.
Industry or sector-specific requirements for accreditation
· Criterion 6 - has been clarified to reflect industry involvement in off-site practical or work-based components.
· Criterion 7 - has been clarified to reflect the NZITO assessment procedures.
MODERATION INFORMATION (MI)
Moderation System
· Outline of the moderation system has been updated to reflect the NZITO's current moderation system.
Reporting
· Outline of the reporting process has been included that reflects the NZITO's current reporting process.
Appeals
· Outline of the appeals process has been included that reflects the NZITO's current appeals process.
