The Sport, Fitness and Recreation Industry Training Organisation (Sfrito) has revised the unit standards listed above.  The unit standards in bold have also been rolled over to maintain their currency until they are reviewed.

Date new versions published                        January 2007

Planned review date for rolled over unit standards                        December 2008

Planned review date for remaining unit standards                        Unchanged

Reason for the revision and background information

The reason for this revision is to update the accreditation information on the Outdoor Recreation Level 3 and Level 4 unit standards to include the requirement for a visit, and to republish AMAP 0102 showing that requirement.  Sfrito has also taken the opportunity to make revisions to special notes and entry information to improve accuracy and consistency across the subfield.

AMAP 0102 was reviewed in June 2005 and the accreditation requirements for Level 3 and 4 were changed to include a visit.  However, the registered unit standards listed on the AMAP were not updated to reflect the changed requirements.  When the error was detected in February 2006 AMAP 0102 was revised and the previous requirements reinstated until the unit standards could be revised to include the new requirements.

Main changes resulting from the revision

·          The accreditation information has been updated to include a visit.

·          Legislation has been updated, and minor editorial amendments have been made to correct errors and for consistency.

·          Prerequisite information on unit standards 20820 and 20821 has been updated.
