The Printing & Allied Industries Training Council (PrintNZ Training) has revised the unit standard listed above. The opportunity was also taken to roll over the unit standard to maintain its currency until a full review can be carried out.

Reason for the revision
Unit standard 2281 was revised following unit standard reviews for the different sectors in the printing industry. Changes were made to ensure that it satisfied the requirements of all sectors of the industry. This will eliminate the need to develop similar unit standards for separate sectors of the industry.
Main changes resulting from the revision
The changes made were of a general nature and do not impact on assessment requirements.
· Title was changed to remove reference to graphic pre-press industry.
· A new element was added.
· One element was removed.
· Changes were made to some elements and performance criteria.
