Forest Industries Training and Education Council (FITEC) has reclassified and revised the unit standards listed above. They have also been rolled over to maintain their currency until they are reviewed.

Reason for the revision
FITEC has been involved in the development of new qualification structures for the wood fibre manufacturing industries. As part of the process an industry advisory group have been convened to review the structure of qualifications in Tissue Converting. The advisory group have revised the content of unit standards to ensure that they are fit for the new qualification structures they are being put into. This has resulted in minor editorial amendments but no major changes to the content of the unit standards.
Main changes resulting from the reclassification and revision
· Unit standards have been reclassified from the expiring Tissue Converting domain in the Pulp and Paper Manufacturing subfield to the new Tissue Converting domain in the Wood Fibre Manufacturing subfield.
· Formats and wording have been updated.
