The New Zealand Industry Training Organisation has revised the unit standards listed above.

The unit standards in bold have also been rolled over to defer the planned review date.  (The other unit standards have had their planned review date brought forward to match the ITO review schedule).

Date new versions published                                                          July 2007

Planned review date                                                                           December 2009

Reason for the revision

In the course of reviewing the National Certificate in Dairy Manufacturing (Process Skills) with optional strands (Level 3) [Ref: 1043], that encompasses the unit standards listed above, the Levels of those standards were compared to other unit standards with similar outcomes.  The analysis showed that the unit standards listed in the Dairy Supply Chain domain had been assigned levels that were too low.  It was also discovered, during the process of assessing against unit standards in the other domains listed above, that greater amounts of work were needed to attain the required competency levels than had been envisaged when the credits were first allocated, so the credits have been adjusted.

Main changes resulting from the revision

·          The target group and the assessment outcomes for unit standard 20016 have been clarified.

·          The level of unit standards 20017 and 20019 has increased from Level 2 to Level 3.

·          The credit value of unit standard 20016 has increased from 3 to 4.

·          The credit value of unit standards 19986, 19988, and 19989 has increased from 4 to 5.
