The Building Service Contractors Industry Training Organisation (BSCITO) has completed the review and reclassification of the unit standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

In carrying out the review of these unit standards the BSCITO has consulted with stakeholders such as registered workplace assessors and NZQA's National Qualifications Services business unit (in relation to English as a second language considerations). Stakeholders have supported the changes made to the unit standards.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·        The standards have been reclassified in the Cleaning Services Administration domain.

·        Definitions have been added or updated to reflect current practice.

·        Legislation has been updated.

·        Changes have been made to elements, performance criteria and to titles of unit standards 19910 and 19911, for clarity and to better reflect the cleaning industry.

·        Purpose statements have been reworded to reflect the changes.
