Revision and Rollover of Design and Technology unit standards

The National Qualifications Services (NQS) of NZQA has revised the unit standards listed above.  The standards have also been rolled over to maintain their currency until they are reviewed.

Reason for the revision

 

When the unit standards were revised in January 2004 they were published with incorrect accreditation requirements.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

·      The accreditation requirements on the unit standards have now been corrected.

·      Minor edits have been made for clarity and consistency.

·      Unit standard 7517 and 7519 the standard for drawings in Special Note 5 has been updated.

·      Unit standard 7497 has been reclassified in the Design - Graphic Communication domain as the Generic Design domain only has Base Scope of Accreditation for Schools (BSAS) to level 3.

None.

 

Impact on Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP)

 

None.  However, the accreditation information on the unit standards has been amended to match the requirements on AMAP 0226.
