PrintNZ Training has revised the unit standards listed above. The opportunity was also taken to roll them over in order to extend their currency until a full review can be undertaken.
Date new versions published March 2007
Planned review date December 2008
Reason for the revision
Unit standard 18247 was due for review in December 2006 but was not included in any of the latest sector reviews. Minor changes have been made for clarity of assessments and to bring it in line with other recently registered unit standards. However, none of the changes made will impact on the assessment outcomes.
Unit standard 20058 was revised in response to requests from recent review groups for clearer wording of element 2.6 to ensure that it encompassed substrates other than paper and board. This ensures that all sectors of the industry are covered.
Main change resulting from the revision
In unit standard 18247:
· performance criteria and range statements were amended to clarify assessment requirements
· one new performance criterion was added in element one
· two unit standards were changed from ‘prerequisites' to ‘recommended' in the entry information.
In unit standard 20058, element 2.6 was reworded to allow the inclusion of substrates other than paper and board.
