InfraTrain New Zealand has revised the unit standards listed above, which were registered in October 2005.

Reason for the revision
New standards have been developed for forepersons and bitumen handbar spraying (see list below). The above standards have been revised to clarify assessment requirements and further define the roles of supervisors.
Main changes resulting from the revision
· Titles of unit standards 1507, 1508, 1512, 20451, 20453, and 20461 amended to clarify candidate's role, and of unit standard 20461 to cover all elements
· References updated
· Special note extended in unit standard 20453, and added to unit standards 1507, 1508, and 1512 to indicate relationship with related unit standards
· Definition amended in unit standards 20451 and 20452 to better differentiate gangbar from handbar sprayers
· Definitions added to unit standards 1507, 1508, 1512, 20453, and 20461 to distinguish roles of asphalt paving forepersons, asphalt paving supervisors, chipseal surfacing forepersons and chipseal surfacing supervisors
· Elements and purpose statements amended to reflect new definitions and for consistency
· Element 2 divided into two and new performance criterion added to unit standard 1507
· Purpose statements updated to reflect changes in element statements and indicate target audience
· Minor amendments made to performance criteria for clarification and consistency.
