The Ministry of Education and the Secondary Assessment and Liaison business unit of NZQA have completed a review of the achievement standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

This review was part of a planned review cycle.  Feedback was received from the secondary sector and from the moderation and examination systems.  National consultation on the achievement standards has resulted in the following changes.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

Minor changes have been made to the assessment criteria for AS90012 and AS90013 which clarify, but do not change, the meaning.  Explanatory notes have been added giving more detail to assist with assessment.

 

The title of AS90014 has been changed slightly and the assessment criteria altered accordingly.  The changes do not affect the outcome.

 

Minor additions have been made to the explanatory notes for AS90015 giving more detail as to what might be assessed and how it might be assessed in the examination.
