Revision and Rollover of Electricity Supply - Power System Management unit standards

The Electricity Supply Industry Training Organisation has revised and rolled over the unit standards listed above.

Reason for the revision

 

These unit standards were revised and rolled over to maintain their currency, enable the revision of the Level 4 Electricity Supply (Network Operator) and Electricity Supply (Hydro Operator) qualifications to take place, and reflect current guidelines and regulations.  Additionally, entry has been made open for standards 12385 and 16284, as prerequisite entry requirements for these standards no longer reflect industry needs.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

·         Special notes updated to reflect current guidelines and legislation.

·         Planned review date has been changed to December 2008.

·         Prerequisites removed from standards 12385 and 16284.

·         Definition for SCADA added to standards 12385, 15578, 18279, 19479, and 19480.

·         Definition for Industry requirements added to standards 16275 and 16285.

·         New special note for 'Reference to terms, procedures, and specifications...' added to standards 12385, 12386, 15578, 18279, 19479, and 19480.
