Tranzqual ITO has revised the qualification
listed above.

The next qualification review is planned to
take place during 2010.
Reason for the
revision
Unit standard
15164 is expiring and, due to Land Transport NZ Rule changes, is no longer
accepted towards the award of Class 2 to 5 driver licences and P and V licence
endorsements. A new unit standard,
24089, has been developed to meet the requirements of the Rule changes. It was therefore necessary to replace
15164 in the qualification with 24089.
Main changes resulting from the
revision
Changes to structure and content
· Standard 15164 was removed from the compulsory section
· Standard 24089 was added to the compulsory section
· Total credits have changed from 56-72 (depending on strand) to 59, or 72 with a strand
· Titles and credits of reviewed standards were updated to reflect their current values
· Standard setting body details were updated.
Transition
People may choose to complete version 1 or transfer to version 2. The last date to complete version 1 is 31 December 2010.
