Summary of review and consultation
process
The
National Certificate in Māori Performing Arts (Performance) (Level 4) [Ref:
0701] was reviewed by the Whakaruruhau at a Hui held on 19-20 July 2007. This qualification is currently being
awarded mainly in the Tertiary sector.
Changes
were made to the structure of the qualification to take into account the
development of new unit standards in the domain of Māori Performance at Level
3. The total credit value of the
qualification was increased to 120 credits to allow for the increase in credits
in the Compulsory section, and also to allow for more choice in Elective C. Key stakeholders and accredited
providers were notified of the proposed changes and feedback sought.
New unit standards at Level 3 in the Field Māori domain of Māori Performance on the National Qualifications Framework have been included, and credit total has increased to 120.
