Reason for the
revision
The target group
for this unit standard were not able achieve the requirements of the unit
standard as they were not involved in developing and implementing processes and
procedures for
resolving privacy, security or confidentiality issues or for resolving the
impacts on respondents relating to the collection and use of data. However, they did require knowledge of
those processes and
procedures when carrying out statistical analysis. The changes were made following
consultation with key stakeholders including Statistics New Zealand and Auckland
University of Technology.
Main changes resulting from the
revision
· The unit standard has been amended to reflect the outcomes required by the sector, ie knowledge of how to resolve privacy, security, confidentiality issues, and issues relating to the impact on respondents of the collection and use of data in a State sector context.
· The Level of the unit standard has been reduced from 5 to 4.
· The title has been amended.
