Reason for the
revision
It had come to the attention of industry
that the prerequisite standard for many of the Museum Services standards had
become a barrier to candidates entering the National
Certificate in Museum Practice (Level 4) [Ref: 1221]. However, industry considered that the
standard was still required as a compulsory standard in that
qualification.
It was decided to remove the prerequisite from entry requirements, as it was no longer reflecting the needs of industry.
Main changes resulting from the
revision
The prerequisite requirement for Unit 20545, Demonstrate knowledge of Māori in museums has been removed from all revised standards.
