above.

Summary of review and consultation
process
On the
23-24 August 2006 the Funeral Service Training Trust held a meeting of industry
stakeholders to review the unit standards listed above as their anticipated
expiry date was at the end of 2007.
Feedback was canvassed from both industry users and the provider on any
changes required to the unit standards.
This resulted in some Level and credit changes for some unit standards,
an updating of the references quoted in the unit standards and some
clarification of unit standard content.
Main changes resulting from the
review
Main
changes resulting from the review include:

Unit standard 8340 has increased from Level
3 to Level 4.
· Unit standard 8341 has increased from 7 to 10 credits.
· Unit standard 8342 has increased from 26 to 30 credits.
· Unit standard 8346 has decreased from 7 to 5 credits.
· Unit standard 8347 has increased from 4 to 7 credits.
· Unit standard 8348 has decreased from 8 to 6 credits.
· Unit standard 8349 has increased from Level 3 to Level 4 and from 7 credits to 10 credits and the title has been amended.
· Unit standard 8358 has increased from 20 credits to 24 credits.
·
Unit standards 8345, 8357, 8359 and 8360
have had their titles amended.
·
Amendments have been made to elements,
performance criteria, ranges, special notes and entry
requirements.
