Revision of Drama Studies Level 1 achievement standard 90011

The Ministry of Education and the Secondary Assessment and Liaison business unit of NZQA have completed a revision of the achievement standard above.

Reason for the revision

 

An inconsistency was identified between the title of the achievement standard and the second criterion at all grades.  The title, Describe the techniques, elements, conventions and technologies of drama in a new context and reflect on performance, referred to 'performance' whereas the second criterion referred to 'a performance'.

 

The intent was that performance should not necessarily be singular.  The criteria have therefore been amended to align with the title.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

For all grades, the wording of the second criterion has been changed from 'a performance' to 'performance'.
