Review of National Qualifications Services (NZQA) AMAP
The National Qualifications Services of NZQA has completed the review of the Accreditation and Moderation Action Plan (AMAP) above.
Date new version published April 2008
The next AMAP review is planned to take place during 2013.
Summary of review and consultation process
The AMAP was last revised in 2002 and needed to be updated to ensure it is robust, national in scope and fit for purpose.
Representatives from current training providers, the Family Planning Association and staff from the National Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP) met to review the content of the unit standard and the underpinning quality systems as outlined in the AMAP (Ref: 0007). This process has been supported by an email consultation of the wider network of key stakeholders and interested parties.
Compliance with new requirements
Accreditation requirements will apply with effect from June 2008.
Moderation system requirements will apply with effect from November 2008.
Accredited organisations will be audited for compliance with AMAP requirements from November 2008 onwards.
Main changes resulting from the review
· Clarification of the industry or sector-accreditation criteria to reflect the requirements of NZQA and the National Cervical Screening Programme.
· Version 2 replaced by version 3.
