The Electricity Supply Industry Training Organisation has completed the review of the unit standards listed above.

Summary of review and consultation process

 

These unit standards were reviewed to reflect changes in the electricity market.  Industry experts were contacted in order to undertake this review and changes were made in line with their feedback. Although none of the standards were included in a qualification they were undertaken by those in the trading sector of the industry.

 

Main changes resulting from the review

 

·         Titles of all three unit standards were changed.

·         Standards were updated to include reference to the Electricity Governance Rules 2003 and the Electricity Governance Regulations 2003.

·         Unit standard 15574 was updated to show that the Electricity Commission currently oversaw the New Zealand Electricity Market.

·         Some range statements were expanded to include additional items.
