Summary of review and consultation process
These unit standards were reviewed as part of an overall review of Transmission qualifications, in collaboration with a Transpower training advisory group. Transpower had drafted curricula (TP.SS 06.20) detailing the minimum competencies required by anyone working on Transpower assets. ESITO were undertaking a review of the transmission pathway to align it with the new curricula. Some standards had minor changes made, but some had major changes made which necessitated the registration of a replacement standard with a new ID.
Main changes resulting from the review
· special notes, elements, range statements, and performance criteria were updated
· titles of standards 20419 and 20420 were amended to reflect skills covered
· credit value of 20419 was reduced from 6 to 3
· entry information for standards 14284, 20419, and 20420 was updated
· standards 10516, 10520, 10527, and 12297 were replaced by standards 24747, 24748, 24749, and 24746 respectively
· new standard 24669 was developed for registration in the Electricity Supply - Power System Maintenance domain.
