The Apparel and Textile Industry Training Organisation has revised the qualifications listed above.

The next qualification review is planned to take place during 2009.

 

Reason for the revision

 

The qualifications were updated to reflect the outcome of the review of First Line Management standards, and standard 497.

 

Main changes resulting from the revision

 

The titles, levels, credits, and classifications of First Line Management standards were updated to reflect the outcome of their review.  Standard 16342 was included as a substitute for expiring standard 1985 as they had similar outcomes.

People currently enrolled in programmes leading to the award of earlier versions of this qualification may either complete those versions of the qualification or transfer to this version.

Changes to structure and content

·         purpose statement and format updated

·         Elective 2 was extended to include credits from anywhere on the NQF classifications.

 

This qualification contains classifications that replace earlier classifications.  People who have gained credit for standards in the lapsed classifications may continue to use those credits to meet the qualification requirements.
