Summary of review and consultation process
The ElectroTechnology Industry Training Organisation in conjunction with the Electrical Engineering industry reviewed unit standard 15843 and replaced it with standards 25070-25072 to meet industry requirements in conjunction with the following considerations.
The consultation groups were asked to consider the following:
· the currency of the standard and its suitability for existing and future qualifications
· the appropriateness of the standard to its domain
· the accuracy and appropriateness of its content
· whether level and credits were commensurate with performance outcomes and training needs
· any gaps in skills and/or knowledge that could be captured by the development of new standards
· the assessability of the standard.
Main changes resulting from the review
Standards 25070-25072 replaced standard 15843 to improve assessability.
Unit standard categorised as category C expire at the end of December 2014.
