Summary of review and consultation process
NZITO has developed a set of new unit standards for the Occupational Health and Safety Practice domain. As a result of this development the unit standards listed above have been designated by the industry as no longer fit for purpose as there is a preference for generic health and safety unit standards that are transportable rather than sector specific unit standards.
Main changes resulting from the review
· The unit standards listed above have been designated as expiring.
· New unit standards have been developed (listed in the table at the end of this report); they are recommended alternatives for the expiring unit standards.
Unit standards categorised as category D expire at the end of December 2010.
